El Palenque is the destination lodge of Patagonia Expeditions for flyfishing the Corcovado River and surrounding lakes and rivers as well. The Corcovado is known for its large rainbow and brook trout. It has recently gained international notoriety because of Pacific Chinook Salmon that began to run up the Corcovado from Chile and finish their spawning right on the estancia. The fishing season starts in mid- November and ends in mid-April. All fishing is catch and release.
