Once you have made arrangements to fly to Buenos Aires, you might want to stay an extra day or two in the city of Buenos Aires. We would highly recommend it. Buenos Aires is an incredible city with the best and least expensive food in the world. There are great tango shows and wonderful city sites to take in.

We highly recommend the Hotel Plaza Francia. Again, we have sent for over seven years our fly fisherman here with no complaints. The hotel is small, quaint and about half as much as the upscale hotels that are just a block away. You are just two blocks from over 30 restaurants, shopping and a movie theater. The hotel is nestled on a quiet street and in a safe area. Again, mention the Jeff Wells or Estancia El Palenque rate for better pricing. We will be at the airport in Esquel to pick you up or, if you fly in to San Carlos de Bariloche, with advance notice, we can help make pick up and transportation arrangements for an additional fee from Bariloche( generally around $100 per person).

Reservations

Making reservations is easy.

Give us your suggested dates and we will tell you if we have room to accommodate you. We never have more than 8 fisherman (unless it is a specially arranged family group). We want everyone to have miles of private river for themselves and for the fish not to get used to fisherman's shadows!

Once we have selected a date the date is not confirmed until we receive a fifty percent deposit from you by check sent to:

Thirty days before your expected arrival we need the balance of the trip fees. The total reservation fees are non-refundable if you cancel 30 days before your scheduled arrival unless we can book someone else in your place.

Our fishing season is November 15th through April 12th. The best time to come is any time during the season really. Every month offers its own fishing challenges. Most fisherman book starting at the beginning of the year in January but some of my best fishing is November and December. This is springtime and hatches are replete and even if the river is high, the side channels and smaller rivers offer excellent fishing and, it is when you can land big King Salmon on spinners.

We offer a ten percent discount to entice you to come during November and December.

If you fly in to Esquel we pick you up and the rest of the week is our expense. We will get your license and provide all transportation and food The only additional expense you will have will be tips at your discretion for your guides and staff.
